1. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to operate Practise German, including your name, email address, email verification status, profile image, account status, subscription or entitlement status, evaluation allowance, practice activity, submitted answers, AI feedback, scores, and progress. If you upload an image for handwriting extraction, that image and the extracted text may be processed to provide the extraction feature.

2. Google Sign-In

When you sign in with Google, Google provides an authentication credential to Practise German. We use it to verify your identity and create or access your account. We may receive and store basic Google account information such as your name, email address, email verification status, and profile image. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or request access beyond what is needed for sign-in and account operation.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide the platform, authenticate users, save progress, evaluate writing submissions, extract handwriting when requested, manage access to free or premium features, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, improve app quality, and communicate with you about account or service matters.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments are processed through Razorpay. Practise German may send Razorpay limited information needed to open checkout, such as your email, name, plan, subscription identifier, and payment verification details. Payment card, UPI, wallet, banking, or similar payment instrument details are handled by Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's own terms and privacy policy.

5. Cookies, Storage, and Analytics

We use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember temporary drafts or preferences, measure product usage, and improve reliability. In production we may use Microsoft Clarity, PostHog, Google analytics tools, and Sentry. These services may collect device, browser, page, interaction, performance, error, session replay, heatmap, and event data to help us understand how the site is used, diagnose issues, improve user experience, support security, and measure product performance.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us run Practise German, including hosting, authentication, payment processing, analytics, error monitoring, email or support tools, and AI or handwriting-processing providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or reorganization.

7. Your Submissions and AI Processing

Your answers, uploaded handwriting images, extracted text, and evaluation results may be sent to service providers that help generate AI feedback or text extraction. Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information, financial information, government identifiers, medical information, or confidential third-party material in practice answers or uploaded images.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep account, payment-access, progress, submission, analytics, and security records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal or tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and maintain backups. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting practisegerman.info@gmail.com. Some records may be retained where legally required or necessary for legitimate business, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

9. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No digital system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Content Protection Tools

We may use browser-side tools that discourage copying, cutting, dragging, printing, saving, or automated extraction of protected educational content. These tools are used to protect Practise German content and are not designed to collect personal information beyond the usage, security, and analytics information described in this Privacy Policy.

11. Children's Privacy

Practise German is intended for learners who can lawfully use online learning services and make payments where applicable. If you are under the age required by your local law to use online services independently, use Practise German only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required.

12. International Processing

Practise German and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
